Werdum, the #1 ranked heavyweight in the world coming off the back of his unanimous decision victory over Travis Browne at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio whilst Velasquez, the #2 ranked heavyweight also comes off the back of a victory over Browne, but by a performance of the night TKO stoppage in the first round. Cain Velasquez will be looking to avenge his loss to Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico City, Mexico when he was defeated by guillotine choke in Round 3. For Werdum, victory surely represents a great opportunity for him to reclaim the heavyweight title that he lost to Stipe Miocic in Curitiba, Brazil at UFC 198. This match up has been tarred by previous cancellations with both fighters selected as coaches of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America which was due to be followed up with a bout at UFC 180 however, Velasquez torn his meniscus three weeks before the fight and was replaced by Mark Hunt. They were also meant to fight at UFC Fight Night 82 in Las Vegas on February 6th 2016 but both fighters pulled out citing injuries. UFC 207 is building up to be a stacked card with Ronda Rousey returning to challenge Amanda Nunes for the women's bantamweight championship as well as Dominic Cruz and Cody Garbrandt also being rumoured to clash for the men's bantamweight title.TWO of the best heavyweights in the world will meet again at #UFC207 in Las Vegas! https://t.co/Z6bozJ0yLn pic.twitter.com/PSnRCnfk5y
