Werdum, the #1 ranked heavyweight in the world coming off the back of his unanimous decision victory over Travis Browne at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio whilst Velasquez, the #2 ranked heavyweight also comes off the back of a victory over Browne, but by a performance of the night TKO stoppage in the first round. Cain Velasquez will be looking to avenge his loss to Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico City, Mexico when he was defeated by guillotine choke in Round 3.
