Brad “The Crazy Kid” Wheeler (14-9 MMA 1-0 WFS) is looking to extend his current five fight winning streak when he competes for the WFS Lightweight Title on 1st August against current Champion, Jefferson George (5-5 MMA 1-0 WFS). Whilst Wheeler is certainly not overlooking his opponent, he is confident that he will be taking the belt home with him when the two clash. “I think that he is better than people give him credit for. He hasn’t fought mugs, he has fought some good opponents at BAMMA. But he hasn’t fought anyone like me, with the experience that I have.” Some may see Wheeler putting his current five fight win streak on the line against an opponent who has lost his last two fights as a risk, Wheeler sees the chance of winning WFS gold outweighing that risk. “Well, other than winning the Title, it’s not really a great gain for me as I am ranked above him. I am just looking to get the Title on my CV, and with the show being on TV (London Live), now is a good opportunity to showcase my skills against a good opponent. There will be pressure on me to beat him but I don’t see me losing.” Wheeler made a storm in his WFS debut in June, picking up a TKO win over Kes Memba which earned him the shot at George at WFS 4. The win over Mamba was the third TKO win in Wheeler’s career and, whilst looking at his record people may assume that he is a grappler first and foremost, Wheeler is keen to showcase that he is far from just a submission fighter when he takes on George. “I see myself stopping him either on the feet or on the ground. Just look at my record, I have thirteen stoppages in my fourteen wins. My style is not built to win by decision. I am a better striker and grappler than Jefferson, I’m a bigger Lightweight and more experienced fighter than him.” “I don’t always look for submission wins, I just take what I can get. In the fight with Jason Cooledge I could of TKO’d him, all I had to do was throw a few more shots but he showed me his back and I took it. I think I am known for my ground game but I have always had good striking. Ask anyone who trains with me and they will tell you that.” Another attraction for Wheeler fighting on WFS was the location of its shows and the relationship he has with the promotions owner Harry Shoebridge, a relationship which has stemmed from early on in his career. “Well for one, it’s local as it’s in London. I’m a pretty good ticket seller and while it annoys me selling tickets, I won’t have a problem selling them in London. There will be about 100 Wheeler fans turning up and spurring me on. It makes me think that I am definitely not going to lose in front of my fans.” “The second reason was that I have known Harry (Shoebridge, WFS owner) for years and I trust him with match making and the ability to put on show. I had been to a previous show and was impressed with it.” With the opportunity of fighting for the Lightweight Title ahead of him, one thing Wheeler will have to ensure - that he's on point when it comes to weigh-ins. In his last few fights he has been on weight at the 155lbs level but there were some occasions in the past which have haunted him, something which he is keen to avoid in the future. “I am being much more sensible with foods and not eating carbs. It really is just a discipline thing. I was trying to squeeze too much into the final three days of cutting weight.” “For my last fight I went back to starting the cut on the Wednesday before the fight and then that made Thursday and Friday easier. I am about a kilo lighter than usual for this fight and feel superb.” While Wheeler may become the WFS Lightweight Champion in his next bout, his future is still very much unclear, especially with the announcement that Cage Warriors will be returning to the European scene before the end of the year. As a fighter managed by Intensiti Fighter Management, Wheeler is more focused on the goal ahead and is happy for his next fight to take place at whatever promotion his management and coaches advise. “I signed a five fight contract before Cage Warriors went away, so technically I am still under contract with them. There are a lot of fighters in the same boat as me. So if they want me back then that’s fine by me.” “I really don’t care who I fight next or where it is though. I am taking things one fight at a time and not focusing too much on anything else. I believe I am the best UK Lightweight outside of the UFC. If Cage Warriors do return there is a vacant belt which I believe I have a very good opportunity to fight for.” Only a few weeks away from the WFS Lightweight Title fight, Wheeler is very excited to stake a claim at being one of the best in the UK at 155lbs. Whilst the two competitors have a mutual respect for each other’s skills, Wheeler is quietly confident that after this fight his current win streak will sit at six. “I don’t really have anything to say to Jefferson, but he might as well give me that belt now!” Brad would like to thank “all my training partners and coaches. My Mindsport coach Rob Dawson, Jefferson George for taking the fight and Harry for having me on the show.”

BAMMA 22 is set to be a spectacular event with many world class matchups when it comes to Dublin, Ireland on the 19th September 2015. It’s testament to the quality of the matchmaking that even the undercard is generating some serious hype – and few fights more so than Kane Mousah making his promotional debut against Myles Price. We at #WHOATV are so hyped for this match up that we drove all the way to Manchester (and that is a long ass drive) to find out all about Kane Mousah and what makes him tick. What we discovered was a really genuine guy with a fascinating back story who just happens to be a natural with the cameras. He wasn’t holding anything back either. The full documentary will be released in the lead up to the big event, but for now, enjoy a little teaser on us… You’re welcome.

Why Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor Probably Won’t Happen

mcgregor aldo staredown

It’s the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s planned biggest fight of the year, and could very-well prove to be the biggest marquee fight they have ever promoted. Unfortunately there’s a good chance that it won’t actually happen – at 145lbs anyway. Back in February, the UFC and USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) announced their partnership in a new out-of-competition drug testing program, which came into place on July 1st. The program was described as “the most comprehensive, effective, best program in all of professional sport” by Jeff Novitz, the UFC’s vice president of athlete health and performance. It continues to be a polarizing topic in our little world, and it’s something that has been discussed ad nauseam among MMA athletes, journalists and the bigwigs of the UFC – but at its core, for the clean athlete, it’s a win. However, the pending outlaw of IV re-hydration (intravenous re-hydration) is something that will affect even the cleanest of them. The IV ban was initially due to be enforced starting with UFC 189 on July 11th, but following much criticism by fighters and coaches alike USADA initiated a grace period of October 1st for fighters already cutting weight for upcoming bouts. Speaking to journalists in Brazil on Friday, Jose Aldo uncharacteristically blasted USADA, and challenged them to stop him, as he confirmed his plans to ignore the decision and continue to use intravenous injections to recover from his weight cut to 145lbs. This could be the biggest obstacle that the UFC faces in trying to put this fight together. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter what Aldo believes or thinks – and it doesn’t matter what we think either – IV re-hydration will be banned from October 1st. Period. It’s something that will affect a significant percentage of fighters, including the likes of Conor McGregor, who are notorious – pun intended – for cutting an extreme amount of weight to compete in their respective weight divisions. That being said, you can’t fault Aldo for being irate. If anyone knows how difficult weight cutting can be, it’s him. Back at UFC 129, which is interestingly the largest-attended UFC event of all-time – something the UFC hope to trump with this fight – Aldo struggled to make the 145lbs limit, residing to defeat with 1.1 pounds to go before eventually hitting the mark at the final hurdle. He went on to win the fight, despite clearly feeling the effects of the massive weight-cut in the 5th round against Mark Hominick. Many thought Aldo’s days were numbered at featherweight. He proved his detractors wrong and successfully made the weight six more times since that dreaded day in 2011. However, this recent decision by USADA might be the final nail in the coffin and the end of the road for Aldo at the 145lbs class. If Aldo can’t physically recover without the use of IV re-hydration, that puts the UFC’s plans of a featherweight unification bout with Conor McGregor in major jeopardy. It also puts Aldo’s position as the champion in serious peril. The blame can’t put on Aldo himself; he has fought under the ZUFFA banner (the UFC and WEC combined) a total of 15 times, making weight successfully on each occasion. This is just the state of mixed martial arts in 2015 and going forward – for better or for worse. Am I saying that it's definitely not going to happen? No. It’s only Jose Aldo who truly knows if he can physically make featherweight and rehydrate to a healthy-enough state to compete, this time without the use of post weigh-in IV re-hydration, but with the evidence that we have available to us it’s hard not to be skeptical. Fingers crossed.

Catherine Costigan vs Simona Soukupova at BAMMA 22

costigan

BAMMA has hit the news recently for many reasons, of course they are known for their consistently exciting match ups and spectacular and well run shows – what they have never had to date, are WMMA fights. Well, here to rectify that, is BAMMA 22, where for the first time the promotion will showcase some of the UK and Ireland’s top female talent. Catherine Costigan is 105lb of (5-1), well honed Irish talent and she’s making her homecoming on BAMMA 22 where she will meet Simona Soukupova (5-3) . One of the first things that will strike you about the Alpha Female is her size, she’s almost elfin, but don’t let that fool you. Growing up in a house with brothers means Catherine was a tomboy from a young age and moving from there to training at a gym with no other girls when she started kickboxing at 14 ensured she learned how to get hit. ‘When I first went to train with Dermot McGrath I was the only girl and I wasn’t really very welcome, training amongst all the boys, a lot of them were quite nervous about having a female there and some were quite hostile, I think that’s where I developed a lot of my fight IQ’. That IQ is certainly something that has served her well, being known for her technical matches and, despite her black belt in traditional kickboxing, for being a slick grappler she has four of her five victories coming by way of a submission. Internationally it seems that MMA in Ireland is on a sudden upward slope, the likes of Cathal Pendred, Joe Duffy and Aisling Daly are breaking through into the UFC, of course there is the Conor McGregor hype train currently trundling it’s way around the world and there are numerous other talents competing across Europe. Speaking as someone a bit closer to the source, Catherine has a slightly different perspective: ‘I don’t think it’s that MMA in Ireland has suddenly become popular, I just think that those of us who started doing it all those years ago when the rest of Ireland were laughing at us and wondering what we were doing are just now peaking and getting the recognition. The development of the sport owes so much to people like Mark Leonard running the Saturday MMA leagues where people could go and compete in the local hall, have a few fights without the pressure of a crowd watching them.’ There’s absolutely no doubt that for the 105lb ladies division, there are some quality matches to be made, In this instance she takes on Simona Soukupova, a 5-3 powerhouse with impressive striking. Costigan could have opted for an easy fight, coming as she did off her first loss, but as we all know, the first lady of Irish MMA doesn’t shirk a challenge and is known for her ‘anyone anytime’ fight attitude. Sometimes these attitudes can hail from early in life and Costigan has all too vivid memories of weekly visits trawling back and forth to the hospital for various epilepsy treatments – being banned from competing in any sport where she might take a bump to the head. Thankfully for the audiences we got past that. When I asked how she overcame her initial nerves about competing Costigan explained: ‘I never do, every time I fight I have a moment about two and a half hours before where I think “what on earth am I doing?” but then I quickly have a word with myself and say “well, you’ve signed the contract now, what on earth are you going to do? Run away?”. What I would say to aspiring fighters is this, take every opportunity to get ring time/cage time/mat time and compete as often as you can in every individual discipline, because it all helps and you will learn from it all’. One of the most endearing things about Costigan is hearing the way she speaks about those from whom she takes inspiration, from her fierce admiration for her mother to the giddy and girlish way she reminisces about the first time she met Marloes Coehnen, right up to her describing meeting Chael Sonnen and being truly star struck. For someone who is fast becoming a local sports celebrity in her own right, it’s a great attitude to see. The other is her respect for the sport of MMA and her opponents – there are so many these days who get caught up in trash talk and social media altercations that they forget to focus on a hard training camp, good partners and coach, Catherine believes it disrespectful to her opponents to show up on the night as any less than the best version of herself – something many more established fighters could learn from. Speaking to Catherine it is apparent that she takes the fighters lifestyle seriously, living and breathing the sport. Her income is derived from teaching her many skills to others and the majority of it is fed straight back into financing her training and career, indeed her passion is evident when you hear her explaining that far from making a profit from the sport, there have been times when travelling to fight has cost her in excess of £1000. Those days should be done now that she is fighting on top class promotions and has signed with management company Sky High Worldwide but, they do say that to be the best you have to train with the best and this is something the Cagewarriors veteran takes to heart. She has travelled all over the world and trained with the likes of Peter Irving, Lucia Reicher, Marloes Coehnen and Rosi Sexton to name but a few. You might think chalking up a list like this was enough but the Irishwoman still has several to cross off her list: ‘I’d love to train with Demetrius Johnson and definitely Firas Zahabi (GSP’s coach at Tristar), as well as Ronda – to be honest with you, anyone who is going out there and winning in their weight class is who I want to be learning from.’ Don’t let that diminutive size fool you, the Alpha Female is looking to take scalps at BAMMA and put on a masterclass in front of her home crowd. Indeed she has recently taken to social media to announce that she is already over the loss and back training hard, she also has a message for her opponent come 19th September: ‘I handled the loss already and are (sic) very excited about my return to action. A wounded animal is always more dangerous’ I’ve a feeling that you’ll be seeing a lot more of the name (and the abs of steel) in the months to come… Conor McGregor who? Tickets for BAMMA 22 are on sale now

It looks like it won't be the Hendricks trilogy after-all. Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter announced the news on Twitter that Carlos Condit will be next to get a crack at welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, adding the bout would likely take place this coming December. And what's more, it looks like the other two top contenders that the UFC could have chosen from -- Johny Hendricks and Tyron Woodley -- will clash on the same card in December, likely UFC 194 in Calgary.

Rollin’ with Burt Watson: Legends & Legacy

With a career that started in boxing more than 30 years ago, the time, the experiences and some of the people I've met have rarely been able to withstand the test of time and make their mark as someone the fighters can depend on. Nothing I've ever learned, or the skills I have honed into a profession, have ever had a guide book or a manual on "How To Get It Done". This was not only true for me but for most of the people around me: athletes, sparring partners, trainers, seconds, and most importantly cutmen. There is no manual, no School of Medicine or Medical Degree. It was done OJT (On The Job Training) and in the gym. It took time, dedication and stone cold commitment. You had to show up in a gym, make yourself known, hope for the opportunity and then get the comfort level that you know what the hell you're doing. Back in the early days of boxing and MMA, men like Al Gavin, Leon Tabbs (former UFC), Don House, Rudy Hernandez and 'Stitch' Duran were all there from the beginning. They worked every day in the gym, got fights and chances when they could and made it work with no mistakes. It all came down to word of mouth and how good you were in your last fight. That's how you got your next job and how you perfected your skills. And it is truly a skill. It's a form of art and precision that you only learn with experience and working corners. A good Cutman can be the difference between winning and finishing a fight. The difference between legacy, legends, working and not working again. You get one chance to do it and one chance to mess it up. But when you get it right, there will always be a spot. There will always be a next fight and there will always be that request for you and your style that has become your image. It's important to remember that cutmen come and go but that talent for perfection that track record relating to success and the integrity to speak out when things go wrong only exists in a few. That's what differentiates the legends from the journeymen and those who will be quickly forgotten from those who leave a lasting legacy And once again, I didn't read this in a book. "This is how it is..."

Dana White: “Stitch Duran was never my friend”

Earlier this week long-time UFC cutman Jacob 'Stitch' Duran was controversially axed from the promotion over his words about how the Reebok deal has even left him out of pocket due to him not being able to wear his signature TapouT jacket. In following interviews 'Sitch' stated that he felt that Dana White should have rang him up himself due to their friendship rather than receive word of his sacking through a UFC rep. But now in a UFC on FOX interview White stated that the two were never friends and that the reps were the only ones who ever dealt with the cutmen. Anthony Pettis would welcome McGregor back to 155lbs

It is no secret that Conor McGregor cuts a lot to make the featherweight limit of 146lbs (145lbs for championship fights). The Irishman has stated on a few occasions recently that he plans to make the move back to lightweight, a division he regularly fought at on the European scene. Last night while on the panel for UFC on FOX Anthony Pettis was asked whether he would fight Conor McGregor and the former lightweight champ said he is down for it. "I heard he is moving up to 155, I'll welcome him to one of the hardest weight classes for sure," said Pettis before the panel of Ariel Helwani, Brian Stann & Daniel Cormier all agreed that they would love to see that fight, as would everyone. Pettis did say his focus is on getting the lightweight title back though and with McGregor's foreseeable future at featherweight seemingly being set with fights against Aldo, Edgar and the Mendes rematch, a fight between the pair could be a long way off. Last night at UFC on FOX 16 we saw the first wardrobe malfunction of the Reebok gear. It happened during Elizabeth Phillips win over Jessamyn Duke, which aired on Fight Pass. Phillips was trying to hold on from armbar'd and Duke's leg pushed up her top slightly as she just had the arm right before the bell rang. Twitter and MMA forums have blown up over the brief flash and apparently Fight Pass has been edited down. Nipples haven't made this much of a splash in the MMA world since the good ol' Team Jackson nipple pinching days. Watch below, minors please look away. GIF via Reddit MMA

Warrior Fight Series 4 Preview

In just over a weeks’ time, London based MMA promotion Warrior Fight Series will be putting on their fourth show headlined by a huge Middleweight bout. The main event of the show will see Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion, Jack “The Joker” Hermansson take on Karlos “The Terminator” Vemola for the WFS Middleweight Title. This fight really does pit two of the best Middleweights in Europe against each other and I am very intrigued to see how this one plays out. Vemola is currently riding a good win streak and is arguably performing the best he has in his career to date. Hermansson hasn’t fought since August 2014 and so will be interesting to see if that long layoff hasn’t any impact on him come fight night. Although Vemola’s win streak is currently seven fights strong it’s clear that the level of opponents in that streak are not on the same level of Hermansson so a true challenge to both fighters in the WFS 4 main event. The co-main event of the evening sees Jefferson George put his WFS Lightweight Title on defence for the first time against Brad Wheeler. George picked up the belt at the promotions first show back in June 2014 but has not yet returned to the promotion to defend it. Brad Wheeler will be looking to make a statement at WFS 4 and prove to the world that he is one of the best at 155lbs in the UK. Wheeler is currently enjoying a five fight win streak and will be making his second appearance for WFS. Whilst Wheeler will undoubtedly be the favourite going into this fight I think Jefferson is often written off by people looking at his record. Yes he is 5-5 but only one of his losses came by TKO and the level of opponents who have defeated him have been no joke (Mateusz Gamrot, Tim Wilde & Marc Diakese). Elsewhere the cards promises fireworks in a number of divisions across the twelve fight card. A few fights which I will be paying particular attention to are; Dominic Wooding Vs Darren Castleton Sam Spokes Vs Stanley Wilson Elliott Hoye Vs Gareth Ingham Dominic Wooding is a name I have followed for a few years in his amateur days and the Flyweight has now turned professional and will make his pro debut at WFS 4. He will be facing Darren Castleton who holds a 1-1 professional record and will be looking to score a win in his promotional debut. Wooding in my eyes has all the opportunity to make a big name for himself in quite a slim division across Europe and will need to make sure that he turns up on WFS 4 against a tough opponent. Spokes and Wilson are two Light Heavyweight amateur fighters who will be both be looking to make a name in a fairly stale division across the UKMMA scene. Wilson will be the more agile fighter of the two but Spokes will be looking to use his size (6ft 4”) to cut off the cage and land some big shots on his opponent. A very interesting fight in the Light Heavyweight division. Harry Shoebridge has done a very good solid job building the promotion from scratch and is clearly looking to build on the success of each show. The big European names will attract a higher cost for the promotion but will arguably put more bums on seats as the promotion crashes into York Hall in London. It’s crazy to think that the promotion is already a year old and is really gaining traction in the UKMMA scene. WFS 4 promises to be the biggest show to date so make sure you do all you can to get down to York Hall and help support Warrior Fight Series.

Miesha Tate is the right opponent for Ronda Rousey

The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs Team Tate Fighter Portraits 2013

Miesha Tate scored her fourth straight UFC win on Saturday night and in doing so earned herself a third crack at rival Ronda Rousey, presuming that the UFC champ wins her fight this weekend against Bethe Correia. After all she is a massive 1/12 favourite in the bookies. Some people are rolling their eyes at the idea of a third fight between Tate and Rousey but when you think about it there is no one else, yet. The timing of this fight is perfect. Once again assuming that Rousey beats Correia we can then assume that she will fight Tate around December possibly at the big annual end of the year card. With the rest of the year sewn up for Rousey this offers a chance for Cyborg to prepare herself in order to make 140lbs, or even 135lbs, and at the least it gives fighters like Holly Holm, Amanda Nunes, Jessica Eye and a few more of the top ranked fighters to build themselves up more. This is not forgetting that Tate vs. Rousey is still a damn good fight to entertain ourselves with in the mean time. The build-up will be good because they hate each other, therefore the Embedded will be enticing and the end result will be people tuning in to watch the fight. In regards to the fight itself I believe Rousey would win but that is not forgetting that Tate has been arguably her toughest opponent to date having being the only fighter to push her outside the first round. It is a win-win for everyone having Tate be the number one contender and hopefully this might push the UFC even more into making the fight we all want to see Rousey vs. Cyborg come into fruition. By the time Rousey fights Tate it will be her 13th professional fight and three of them will have been against the same opponent, that's almost a quarter of her fights. If that isn't enough of a reason alone to push for Rousey vs. Cyborg then I don't know what is.

Damien Rooney mma

Damien "The Rage" Rooney (10-4-1), a fighter many feel could be soon on his way to the UFC, has been added to the BAMMA 22 card in Dublin's 3Arena on September 19th. He will face Portugal's Manel Kape (6-1) in a catchweight bout that screams excitement. Both fighters always bring it in their fights and between them they have an 80% finish rate. Rooney had the following to say about the fight, via press release: "Great to get the call to fight on BAMMA in the 3Arena in Dublin, it's going to be a huge event for domestic MMA and I'm delighted to be involved in it. Irish fans are the best in the world and I can't wait to get out put a show on for them! It's been a frustrating 6 months trying to get match ups with pull outs and everything else, so big thanks to Jude and BAMMA for having me on this card and I won't let them down with my performance. Manel Kape is a young exciting fighter with a solid record. He's quite brash and cocky and likes to be aggressive so that suits me just fine. A lot of people are writing me off in this fight saying my best days are behind me and this and that. But if you look at my record it is littered with guys from the European top ten rankings across several weight classes. I've always fought the best and that's always how I wanted it. He's a young guy with a solid record and reputation coming up, he's a tough guy but by no means the toughest guy I've faced, but you can be sure that I'm certainly the toughest test that he has faced!"

Josh Koscheck blasts ‘little errand bitch’ Dana White

josh koscheck

For ten years Josh Koscheck was a big part of the UFC family. He was involved in the first season of TUF, which has become MMA folklore as one of the main reasons the UFC has survived. He ended up fighting for the UFC title in 2010 and it seemed he was a true company man having fought an incredible 25 times for the promotion. It shocked many people when it was revealed that Kosheck had signed with UFC rivals Bellator, and for good reason. Firstly, Koscheck has looked a shadow of himself in recently losing his past five fights, so it is a bit of a shock that he is continuing on fighting. Secondly, it is strange, albeit slightly understandable, that he has essentially jumped ship to the enemy. The guy has a mountain of fights for a promotion that seemingly always supported him and he is part of their foundations to where they are at now. In a recent Bleacher Report interview Koscheck showed his cards and gave an insight into why he left the UFC, why he rushed his last fight and his less than flattering opinion on former boss Dana White. Koscheck on fight Erick Silva three weeks after losing to Jake Ellenberger: "I was in shape. I was like, okay, I’m out. This is my last fight. Let’s just go out there and see what happens." Koscheck on leaving the UFC and joining up with Scott Coker/Bellator: "I knew that Coker was going to get back in the game at some point, and he was going to make it right for every fighter. I knew that was my plan for quite some time: to get rid of my UFC contract," he says. "Even if I never fought again, I wanted out of my UFC contract. Even if I never stepped in the cage again, I wanted to fight out my contract and be done with them." And finally, Koscheck on Dana White: "How can you respect a guy that runs a company and goes on Twitter rants, who calls people all the names that he calls people? I think it’s childish. "He’s supposed to be the president of a major company, a billion dollar company, and that’s how he acts? You don’t see Roger Goodell (NFL commissioner) doing things like that. "And you won’t see Scott Coker going on Twitter and telling people they look goofy or fat. Or, ‘we got that many years out of you, thanks for your money.’ Come on. It’s embarrassing. I don’t want to work for a guy like that." "I think Dana is just the front boy for the Fertittas. He’s their little errand bitch. They’re losing fans every day because of the things he does." It is worth giving the full Bleacher Report piece a read as it gives a better understanding to Koscheck's point of view and thoughts towards his life with the UFC.

Japanese based Brazilian fighter Carlos Toyota (6-6-1) has scalped a biggest name for his fight resumé at ROAD FC 24 in Japan over the weekend as he knocked out the giant 7-foot-2 Hong Man Choi (2-4). It had been six years since we last seen Choi in action but is still at a relatively young age of 34. In his previous fights Choi had faced the likes of Fedor, Cro Cop, Minowaman and even has a win over baseball legend Jose Conseco. Toyota has been competing since 2006 in various promotions around Japan. This win over Choi marks his third straight first round KO win. In the main event UFC veteran Riki Fukuda (23-7) beat Uh Jin Jeon (3-3) via first round TKO. He is now undefeated in five fights since his release in 2013. Elsewhere on the card Japanese veteran 'Minowaman' (60-38-8) beat Dae Sung Kim (2-4) via unanimous decision.
