White owns Xmas as Bisping vs Silva headlines UFC London

It's hard to believe Dana White listened to the wailing in the wind but boy has he managed to shut up detractors bemoaning the lack of star power for the UFC London card by adding Anderson Silva who will now face Manchester's own Michael Bisping. The announcement which could easily have made most PPV customers sit up was made by White earlier today via Twitter and was welcomed universally by fans and media alike. Many reacted positively around the attraction it will give to Fight Pass further boltsering rumours that the promotion is set to give fight fans compelling reasons to become a subscriber.

The 40 year old Silva headlines a card already sold out. In fact when tickets went on sale they disappeared in a matter of minutes. It's a match up Bisping has been arguing for, all be it when Silva owned the middleweight championship belt, he undoubtably welcomes the match up more so than his previous opponent, Gegard Mousasi. Mousasi is set to remain on the card tweeted earlier that he is not injured and reassured fans that his management were working with the UFC to secure a replacement opponent.
