UFN 80 ones to Watch: Danny Roberts

If you have been overwhelmed by the media storm that is UFC 194 you may have missed out on some of the exciting fights that are planned for the Ultimate Fight Night 80 card which takes place on Thursday December 10th as part of the fight night flurry that the UFC has planned for next week. Ultimate Fight Night: Namajunas vs VanZant is a card that features a lot of new and exciting UFC talent, a name that you may not know, but could be hearing a lot more is that of England’s own; Danny “Hot Chocolate” Roberts. Danny fights out of Next Generation UK which is also home to another exciting UK prospect in Paddy Pimblett. Danny has made a name for himself fighting for Cage warriors in the Welterweight division by beating notables such as “Judo” Jim Wallhead and Henry Fadipe who are both well known in their own rights on the European circuit. Both fights were stopped inside the distance. With a record of 11-1 and nine of his wins ending with a stoppage, Roberts is definitely a top level prospect and one to watch. Former Bellator welterweight and American Top Team member Nathan “Soulforce” Coy will be the man standing opposite Roberts in the octagon on December 10th in what could be his toughest test. UFN 80: Namajunas vs VanZant takes place in the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 10th.
