In the Czech Republic, a MMA promotion is on the rise and looking to become a more established name across the European scene. OKTAGON are coming off the back of three sold-out events and are gearing up for their next show on Saturday 14th September from Bratislava at the Ondreja Nepelu Arena. Some well-known talent including Karlos Vemola and Attila Vegh compete for the promotion and OKTAGON 14 will feature another familiar name as UFC veteran, Jeremy Kimball (17-8), meets Timo Feucht (7-1) in a light heavyweight clash.

After going 1-3 in the UFC, Kimball was released from the promotion but got an immediate offer to fight for OKTAGON MMA in Prague. He debuted at OKTAGON 10 last November in front of a 10,000 strong crowd against the beloved Czech talent, Milos Petrasek. Going into that fight, Kimball was a big underdog but knocked out Petrasek cold in the first round. Petrasek was devastated at the manner of the loss so asked for an immediate rematch which was granted at OKTAGON 11. The American proved that his first victory was no fluke as he picked up another win – this time via a unanimous decision. In the process, Kimball gained many new fans and became a fan favourite in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. After his upcoming fight against Feucht at OKTAGON 14, Kimball is already booked to face fellow UFC veteran, Viktor Pesta, in a highly anticipated bout at the end of the year so can’t let his momentum come to a halt before then.

Feucht is a young prospect from Germany and intends to pick up the biggest victory of his career so far against Kimball to win over a new set of supporters for himself. In his eight professional fights, Feucht has never been to a decision and has already fought for promotion’s all around the world. Four of his seven wins have come by submission and his new opponent has been submitted in 75% of his losses so the German could well look to take this fight to the mat so he can work his dangerous grappling game. Feucht has made it clear that he is moving to OKTAGON to become their champion and won’t allow Kimball to get in the way of achieving that goal.

Elsewhere on the card, the OKTAGON bantamweight title is up for grabs when Tomas Deak (19-9-1, 1NC) defends his belt against Czech challenger, Filip Macek (21-14-1), and Samuel Kristofic (11-3) faces Robert Pukac (14-5-1).
