Following on from the recent acquisitions of Eddie Alvarez and Demetrious Johnson, it was today confirmed that Sage Northcutt is the latest UFC fighter to make his way over to Asia’s premier MMA promotion.

Often touted as one of the top prospects in MMA, the 22-year-old Texan has reportedly requested to make his debut on ONE: Call to Greatness in Singapore on 22nd February 2019, however nothing official has yet to be announced.

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced via a Facebook post on 1 December 2018 that “Super” Sage Northcutt had signed an exclusive contract to compete with ONE.

With a perfect 15-0 kickboxing record, Northcutt transitioned into the world of MMA as an 18-year-old and quickly found himself in the spotlight and attracting the attention of the UFC. Making his UFC debut in Houston, Texas, at UFC192, Northcutt made an immediate impression in the promotion with a 57 second TKO of Francisco Trevino. Northcutt fought 8 times in total for the UFC before today’s announcement that he was signing for ONE.

With a professional record of 11-2, Northcutt’s ONE Championship signing was first rumoured when he was in attendance at the 2018 Global Martial Arts Summit and ONE: Heart of the Lion last month in Singapore.
