BAMMA 28: Young vs. Wooding & Freakshow Added to Fight Card

Three more bouts were added to the ‘BAMMA 28: Parke vs. Redmond’ fight card for February 24th at the SSE Arena in Belfast. The Interim BAMMA World Flyweight Title is on the line, when Andy ‘Taz’ Young clashes with ‘UK’s hottest flyweight prospect’ Dominique Wooding. Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher welcomes newly signed Alex ‘Da Kid’ Lohore to BAMMA’s welterweight division, while SBG’s newest prospect Steve Owens takes on a rebounding Jay Herbert. Interim BAMMA World Flyweight Title – Young vs. Wooding Andy ‘Taz’ Young(10-8) recently signed a new deal with BAMMA and now is to fight for the Flyweight title in front of his home crowd. His opponent Dominique ‘The Black Panther’ Wooding(3-0) is handled to be ‘the next breakout star of UK & Irish MMA’ and finally gets the chance to make his long awaited BAMMA debut. After ending Linoel Moreno with a brutal knee last May, Wooding had some trouble finding opponents willing to fight him but after calling for the fight on social media, ‘The Black Panther’ now gets to step into the octagon again. Welterweight – Fletcher vs. Lohore Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher(13-7) returns to BAMMA 28 after a tumultuous year – Kicking off the year in a contentious DQ loss with Walter ‘The Sniper’ Ghadza and finishing it submitting Aymard Guih. Freakshow faces Alex ‘Da Kid’ Lohore(10-1) in the cage, who is currently riding a six-fight winning streak. Hailing from France, London based New Wave Academy fighter Lohore most recently submitted ‘Dirty’ Harry Marple. Lightweight – Owens vs. Herbert SBG’s newest sensation Steve Owens(2-0) joins the BAMMA 28 fight card, coming off two ‘very dominant and bruising victories’ – Making his BAMMA debut Owens defeated welterweight Keith ‘The Butcher’ McCabe and second win against Terry Doyle followed.
