Ralek Gracie’s promotional debut against Hisaki Kato is set for the second main card fight announced for Bellator 170: Ortiz vs. Sonnen at The Forum in Los Angeles on January 21st next year.
Ralek(3-0) made his MMA debut at the age of 22 in Japan, where he defeated Kastuyori Shibata with a ‘devastating armbar. In his second fight, against Ghadzhhiev Alavutdin, Gracie was – with an armbar from the mount - victorious again. Ralek Gracie, whose family is famous for putting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the map around the globe, also won his latest MMA fight in Los Angeles, where he clashed with Kazushi Sakuraba.
‘The Japanese Mousketeer’, Hisaki Kato(7-2) has already finished Joe Schilling on two separate occasions. The 34-year-old French-Japanese’s lone Bellator MMA loss against Melvin Manhoef in 2015 included what was called a ‘Round of the Year’ candidate by many.
The middleweight bout Ralek Gracie versus Hisaki Kato joins the card built around a clash between Tito Ortiz(18-12-1) and Chael Sonnen(28-14-1) and will be broadcasted live and fee on SPIKE.
