The main event of UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast between Gunnar Nelson and Dong Hyun Kim has been called off due to a reported injury suffered by Nelson, the extent of which has been undisclosed. It is thought that UFC bosses have been quick to draft in a replacement main event for the card, with middleweights Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall set to lock horns for a second time, although this is yet to be confirmed by the promotion. Although Mousasi (40-6) has been vocal in his admiration to fight Anderson Silva or Nick Diaz as future opponents, a match up against Hall will allow for him to try and avenge the loss he suffered from Hall in a spectacular knockout at UFC Fight Night 75 Japan in September 2015. The Dutchman is coming off a three-fight win streak and will be confident of doing just that. Hall (12-7) has lost has last two bouts against Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson respectively and a win in Belfast will go a long way in setting the record straight and proving that he is still an elite in the middleweight division. UFC Fight Night 99 takes place on Nov 19th at SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is one of two cards put on by the UFC on that evening with Fight Night 100 – Bader v Nogueira 2 following after from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
