Kimbo Slice Was Awaiting Heart Transplant

Following the death of streetfighting legend Kimbo Slice, Florida press have claimed that the fighter died of heart failure and was seeking a transplant before he passed away. Florida's Sun Sentinal have revealed that Kevin Ferguson, commonly known as 'Kimbo Slice', died of heart failure following his admission to hospital on Friday in Florida. The Sentinal claimed that Slice had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and that a mass had been spotted on his liver. He was, apparently, awaiting transfer to facility in Cleveland where he was to to be put on the list for a heart transplant. Earlier today Slice's trainer, Mike Brown, revealedd he was set to pull out of his bout with James Thompson at Bellator 158 at the O2 Arena in July. There had been speculation that Bellator had approached Ferguson's son to face 'The Colossus', but more recent reports suggest this was almost certainly not the case.
